Types of Massages

first touch massage offers a variety of massages to fit any relaxation or anti-stress needs:

On Site Chair Massage

I will bring an odd looking but highly effective and adjustable chair to your site. This is a great way to reward employees and to introduce the benefits of massage in a non-threatening way. Clients remain fully clothed and the session is typically ten to fifteen minutes per client. Be prepared for surprising results! Chair massage is a great idea for parties, corporate events, or health fairs.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through the use of slow strokes and direct pressure.  The therapist senses a “sinking into” the layers of connective tissue. “Deep” means deep into the tissue not hard, pounding or pinching massage.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage combines the benefits of thermotherapy (heat/cold) with massage strokes using warm stones to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment.

Swedish massage is the foundation of most massage work. Using several different strokes, the therapist gently, deeply soothes the nervous system and normalizes muscle tension.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points within a muscle can cause pain, weakness and limit range of motion. The trigger point is a small nodule within the muscle that stays contracted, to the touch it is a hard lump within a tight ropy band of muscle and often painful. Treatment for TrP’s is to apply direct pressure on the nodule, to stimulate blood flow and release the knot.
